Joe DeCeault

Producer, Eight Forty-Eight

As producer for Eight Forty-Eight, Chicago Public Radio’s weekday morning newsmagazine, Joe’s responsibilities include working with contributors and producing music segments. He also provides production and editorial assistance to Filmspotting, a radio version of the popular weekly podcast that airs monthly during Sunday Specials.

Joe joined Chicago Public Radio in February 2003 as a volunteer, later becoming an intern and helping out with programs including Sound Opinions and the former program Performance Space. He has produced numerous weekend and music specials, and has worked as a music contributor for Eight Forty-Eight.

Prior to joining Chicago Public Radio, Joe worked at Triton College radio station, WRRG 88.9 FM. His positions there included station manager, music director and host of their local music show, chicagocore, which he brought to Chicago Public Radio as a special series.

Originally from Oak Park, Joe resides in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago.
