To answer some of the concerns raised by promoters, venues and others in Chicago’s music and culture community, we also talked with 47th Ward Alderman Eugene Schulter. He helped shape the promoter’s ordinance as chair of the City Council’s Committee on License and Consumer Protection. He says the ordinance is meant to weed out the bad promoters.
