Global Activism Special: Organic Agriculture in Guatemala
Julie Siegel is a landscape designer and she works with the Earthways Foundation to support a Guatemalan organization called AFOPDI. They build corn silos, train farmers in organic farming agriculture, and build solar power generators. We first talked with Julie last year, and AFOPADI has grown quite a bit since then. Julie just got back from visiting AFOPADI in Guatemala.

I live for the past 16 years in Guatemala (born in Chicago and lived in almostall theneighborhoods until I moved here). I kno Julie and think she is doing a marvelous job in an aspect of agriculture which isn't often addressed here. She comes and works in the very high Highlands and it's helped the people there SO much.
