The Academy Awards continue to face scrutiny over what critics say is their failure to recognize diverse filmmakers and storytellers.

Reset is joined by two Chicago-based women filmmakers to get their take on this year’s list of nominees and what those selections say about the Oscars’ values around inclusivity and diversity.
