Activists call on Mayor Johnson to nix Chicago Fire facility deal

The Chicago Fire team is building a new training facility at a 23-acre site that was once promised for affordable housing.

While environmental remediation work has already started at the site of a former public housing site on the Near West Side, activists say it’s not too late for the mayor to stop the Chicago Fire from taking over.
