A traditional loaf is dense, hearty and it turns out, difficult — but not impossible — to find in Chicago and the suburbs.

Ever since Dinkel’s closed, Violeta struggled to find one of her favorite bakeshop items: a traditional loaf of pumpernickel bread. So she reached out to Reset to help with the search, and we assigned a producer to locate the bread.

Along the way, Reset learned a little about what makes the loaves so special.
