Former Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan has added another honor to his long list of accomplishments. The six-time NBA champion was elected to the basketball hall of fame today.

Today’s announcement in Detroit doesn’t come as a surprise. Jordan is considered one of, if not the best, basketball player of all time.

Jordan famously led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships. He also won two Olympic gold medals and one college national title during his dominant career.

Another former Bulls guard, Jerry Sloan, was also elected to the Hall today. But he goes in largely for his coaching success with the Utah Jazz. Sloan led the team to back to back NBA finals in 1997 and 1998.

Ironically, both of those Jazz teams were beaten in the finals by Jordan and the Bulls.
